A staircase sweeps in an ample coil from the main entrance of the Hentrichhaus to the first-floor foyer, which leads in turn to the Theatersaal and Appendix. The tone of the rotunda entry zone is set by changing, spectacular installations of contemporary art.

The wide glass façades of the auditorium offer a magnificent prospect of the Hofgarten and the splendour of the Malkasten’s own park. An exclusive, original 1950s interior designed specifically for the Malkasten.
